Our program participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), which ensures that children receive nutritious and balanced meals while in our care. As part of this program, we follow federal nutrition guidelines and promote healthy eating habits. We also comply with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) nondiscrimination policies, which state that no person shall be discriminated against based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability in the administration of the food program.

SCHOOL AGE

Before & After School Program

Progreso Latino provides transportation to students who need the service to go to their school, and also to pick them up from each individual school. During the After-School Program, youth mentors help students with their homework and/or provide them with additional work to help them advance on skills taught in school. We also offer them extracurricular learning activities such as STEM Project and Tennis, Soccer and Karate classes during summer.

Summer Activities Program

Every year, we offer a summer camp in order to provide children from the community with a healthy and wholesome educational experience in a pleasant environment; where they can play sports, produce art, and grow their cognitive skills. We serve breakfast, lunch and snacks daily. This past summer we offered tennis classes for kids between the ages 6 to 11. Kids and families were very happy to be exposed to this professional sport. Children also participated in a STEM program where children have the opportunity to be more intentional playing and exploring Math and Science.
